iibh has been established intended to promote the development of the domestic field of buildings and housings by means of effective international harmonization of technologies, systems, codes and standards, and communication of information with other countries and organizations in the field of buildings and housings.

The 2005 World Sustainable Building Conference will be held in Tokyo in September 2005. A large number of building researchers, practitioners, officials, industry representatives and students from all over the world will gather at this conference to exchange the latest knowledge and experience regarding "Sustainable Buildings".
